Growth and urbanisation was historically slower in East London, with the concept of East London as a distinct area a relatively modern innovation. Nonetheless, little has stopped the boom of East in recent years, a cultural melting pot with spots like Shoreditch labelled 'effortlessly cool' with its quirky and vibrant art-filled streets, as well as the imposing Olympic Park.

Spaces throughout East London are giving way to this creative character of the area and its surroundings. Clapton Tram, formerly a Victorian stable, is now a plant-filled tropical oasis. The Film Shed in Dalston once formed part of the London Gaslight and Coke company; once badly bomb damaged by the blitz, it has been a chameleon of spaces, from a textile factory to a car park, and now to a studio location. East London remains as transformative as ever, filled with incredible spots just waiting to be taken advantage of.
