Texture adds something to your shoot whilst maintaining a minimalist and muted look. Wooden floors can show a softer side to your set up, add a spooky touch or even the benefit of the sound you can record of walking the boards.

Kora Photo Studio boasts a variety of wooden floors, from beautiful herringbone in various tones and shades, to gorgeous dark wood.
Parquet, or Herringbone has the great effect of making the room seem larger than it is and gives a sense of movement. The herringbone pattern has an ancient history and wooden parquet flooring is said to have been first introduced in sixteenth Century France.
Kora Photo Studio is a fully equipped rental studio for photography, video shoots and more. They offer beautifully dressed spaces, open 7 days a week (by appointment only).

This North London Studio offers a space full of textures and warm tones. Born from a restored Victorian warehouse, it is true to its character. The long, pale floor boards stretch down the room, elongating the space and steering your eyes down the room.
Cook Studio at ShutterHouse is filled with bright, natural light from two wide windows and a double door entrance, though can be blacked out to suit your needs.

If you’re looking for more of that Victorian Spook then look no further than The Depot Studio in South London, a short walk from Ladywell Station.
The Depot features beautiful, industrial wooden floors, brick walls and metal pillars in this Victorian warehouse. A variety of areas and spaces with two floors and a front/exterior area for you to choose. Parts of the Depot can be used as a build space for larger productions.
The Depot is a versatile location for filming, photography and events.

These warm and bright, long wooden floors really lift the space at Clerkenwell Studios. Set on the second floor of a former dress factory, the studio has good daylight to play with those shiny wooden floors.
It has a kitchen and comfortable areas for clients, high beamed ceilings and can be totally blacked out.

Moving out of London and into these beautiful white floorboards are perhaps more your thing.
The Pigeon Loft Studio in Beeston, just outside of Nottingham is a beautiful, bright space for filming, photoshoots and more.
White floorboards give you the texture and clean lines whilst giving you a bright, blank canvas with endless possibilities. Painted floorboards have a long history, dating from the mid-1700s.
The whitewashed walls and ceiling adds to this neutral space, where you can get the most out of the colours and light you choose.
